NhW were invited to share a stand at the Herts show to support the “Year of Volunteering”. With more that 103,000 NhW already registered residents across Hertfordshire it was seen an opportunity to further promote NhW across the county.
During the show 95 new members were signed. It was a joint effort between HertsWatch and the SNT Police team.

It was encouraging to note that quite a few of the visitors were already members of NhW and were aware of OWL.
The PCC summed up the event : “Keeping Hertfordshire safe is not just the responsibility of the police. As citizens we all have a role to play in preventing and tackling crime and volunteering is a great way of making that positive contribution. I am determined to make sure that as many opportunities as possible are made available for volunteers and that their work is properly celebrated and valued!
