Neighbourhood Watch in St Albans is all about bringing neighbours together to create a safer, stronger, and more connected community. As part of the UK’s largest voluntary crime prevention movement, we work closely with residents, Hertfordshire Constabulary, and local partners to reduce crime, raise awareness, and support one another. Whether you’re looking to join at start your local street scheme, stay informed about what’s happening in your area, or simply meet others who care about community safety, you’re in the right place.
How to Get Involved
Whether you’re an experienced coordinator or brand new to Neighbourhood Watch, there are plenty of ways to get involved:

Join an existing scheme on your street

Start your own Street scheme – it’s simple, and we’ll support you every step of the way

Attend local events and meet-ups to connect with fellow volunteers

Receive updates and alerts through Herts Connected and our district network

Everyone has a role to play, and even small actions can have a big impact. We welcome residents of all ages and backgrounds – the only thing you need is a passion for your community.
